WE ANSWER.
Clear answers on hiring crew, profiles, regions, insurance and planning. Don't see your question? Call or email us, we'll figure it out together.
01 · Booking & availability
BOOKING.
How fast can you supply crew?
In Belgium we can usually supply crew within 24 hours. The earlier you book, the better we can match the right profiles. Even on last-minute requests we manage to staff about 99% of the time.
How do I book crew?
Send your request via the quote page or email us your schedule. You receive a proposal and once confirmed we plan the crew in.
Can I cancel or change last-minute?
You can, but the conditions are always set out in the quote. The sooner you let us know, the better we can adjust.
Can I get the same crew across multiple days?
Yes, we try to plan the same crew members across multiple days so continuity is kept during load-in, show and load-out. For specific wishes, just tell us.
02 · Crew & profiles
PROFILES.
Which profiles do you supply?
We supply mostly stagehands, but also crewchiefs, forklift drivers, steelhands, scaffolders, riggers, stagemanagement, runners, hosts, toilet hosts and parking crew, among others.
What does a stagehand actually do?
A stagehand supports the technical and production build-up of an event. That can range from loading and unloading equipment, placing structures and stage parts, to supporting technicians and production during the show.
What if I need specific skills?
Our pool contains diverse profiles such as forklift drivers, riggers, crewchiefs and stagemanagers. Share your specific wishes and we select the right people for your project.
Can you provide a full team?
Yes. From single profiles up to complete teams with on-site leadership. We scale to your project.
How large is your crew pool?
We have more than 200 crew members and an extensive network to scale up fast.
Do you work with freelancers or fixed teams?
Hands 4 Events works with a mix of experienced crew, freelancers, day-contract workers, flexi workers, job students and sometimes subcontractors. That combination lets us stay flexible without compromising on quality, experience or reliability. Every crew member is matched to the project based on skill and fit.
03 · Region & events
COVERAGE.
Which region do you cover?
Primarily Belgium, but we also supply crew in the Netherlands, Germany and the rest of Europe on request.
Do you work internationally?
Yes, on request we supply crew outside Belgium and the Netherlands. Contact us for details.
What types of events do you supply crew for?
We supply crew for concerts, festivals, corporate events, trade shows and temporary productions. From smaller, intimate events up to large-scale productions with complex builds and tight timing. Every project is approached based on its specific needs.
Do you also provide security or logistics?
No. Hands 4 Events deliberately focuses on crew and stagehands for live entertainment and events. We do not provide security, transport or logistics services. That clear scope lets us do what we do best.
04 · How we work
APPROACH.
Is your crew insured?
Yes. Our crew is paid correctly and insured. We carry liability insurance for our own crew, freelancers and subcontractors.
What sets you apart?
We supply experienced event crew, not a student bunch. A no-nonsense approach, transparent agreements and hands-on leadership.
Can you manage planning on site?
Yes. Our crewchiefs and stagemanagers handle on-site coordination, safety and a tight workflow.
05 · For crew
WORKING AT H4E.
How do I become crew at Hands 4 Events?
Fill in the application form on the Jobs page. We review your experience, schedule a short intake and add you to the system. No experience? Mention it, we start you on suitable shifts and grow you in.
What status do I work under?
Depending on your profile: flexi, student, employee or self-employed (freelance). We discuss what fits at the intake.
How and when do I get paid?
Wages are paid weekly, after the worked shifts are processed. Freelancers invoice as agreed. Everything declared correctly, everything by the book.
How are shifts assigned?
Through our online planning. You receive a login after your intake and can accept or decline shifts based on your availability.
What should I wear on shift?
Work clothing: long trousers, closed safety shoes (required on 99% of jobs). You receive a Hands 4 Events shirt. No sandals, no loose jewellery.
Do I get PPE (helmet, gloves, ...)?
Helmet, gloves and high-vis vest are provided when the shift requires it. Safety shoes you bring yourself (all your colleagues have sweaty feet). Specific gear (harness, headset, ...) is provided by production or by us. If you're self-employed, you provide all your own PPE.
Can I cancel or decline shifts?
Declining is always fine through the planning, in advance. Last-minute cancellation creates problems on the shift and gets a side-eye ;) . Always communicate quickly with your crewchief or planning.
What experience do I need?
Stagehand: a solid physical base and work ethic. Forklift: valid certificate required. Working at height: VCA and/or height-work certificate is a plus.
VCA is an important document and recommended.
Is travel time or mileage paid?
Commuting is reimbursed according to the applicable rules per status. For far shifts or long travel distances we look at carpooling or a tailored arrangement. Everything is communicated up front.
